OK, so, the man I play music with and who usually inspires me to write is the subject in my three latest pieces. Who knew he'd inspire me in photography as well?

"Span" was an experiment with closeups and some of the glow/light effects in Photoshop. "The Guitarist" is just a straightforward photo with two layers of "halftone print" filter over it. "Music in Motion" wasn't altered in any way except I made the background darker. I'm not used to working without a flash, but this shot turned out so cool -- he just happened to have his right hand still and his left hand moving & with the aperture open long enough to let his red "mood lighting" soak in, I ended up with a nifty motion shot. Hooray!

And now my bass guitar is calling me.
